Jean-Sebastien Monzani is a Swiss and French self-taught freelance photographer and graphic-designer born in 1975 who is specialized in portrait photography. Elegance, simplicity, a strong sense of composition and emotions are key elements in his work. His images are often constructed as photo-series - something between fashion photography and movie storyboards. Since he often tries to convey an atmosphere in his photos, he mainly shoots on-location, almost exclusively in Lausanne (Switzerland) where he lives.
He currently works in Lausanne, Switzerland, as a freelance photographer and graphic designer. His commercial work includes illustration, websites, posters, magazine layout, brochures, flyers, CDs and photos matching his own artistic interests-

In the course of his nearly thirty years' work he introduced himself in more than a hundred independent exhibitions in twenty countries. He is the winner of forty national and eight international prizes.
Some fifty works of his are kept in museums in public collections.
He is a pioneer of what is called the „synthetic art”, the essence of which is merging the „-isms” just in one picture. In his compositions features of the styles can be detected ranging from academism to cubism, from impressionism to avantgardism.
